The item is a tea plate and matching saucer decorated in the Royal Stafford pattern 8171
The rose itself is applied by transfer while the borders colours are normally wash banded

The firm used the trade mark I cut my way with an image of a mincing knife (An Ulu An inuit skinning knife). According to research John Clark took over the trade mark I cut my way and the William Rodgers name in 1911. In 1980 the Egginton Group took over the I cut my way mark. William Rodgers is also the firm associated with manufacturing the Fairbairn
