Kumeu River, Mates Vineyard Chardonnay other_regions_australiaVery rich and serious on the nose nuts, nectarines and honeycomb. A mouth filling vinous palate, with mouth watering acidity and a chalky stony note. It grows in the mouth and gets fuller and fuller but always refreshing with it. Just great concentration of fruit and such length a joyous wine. Not often I would call a wine at this price good value, but this is for sure! GV (AC)

let me at least note that Soter’s employment of old heirloom selections he brought with him from California (and that long informed special bottlings under his Etude label) has without question been instrumental in the delicious distinctiveness of his Mineral Ridge bottlings

Here the nose plays right on the edge of exoticism with its notes of fresh white and yellow orchard fruit

The 2012 Pinot Noir Mills Vineyard comes from 26-year-old own-rooted vines and was harvest September 20 to October 17

citrus peel and gentle wood nuances

It hasn't matured as gracefully as the 2012 Chardonnay from the Sanford & Benedict Vineyard
