Very precise and fresh, just exciting! The white golden colored wine is intensely fruity yet pure and fresh, and its finish is just as pure as well as long and complex. it should be even better in a decade or so

I imagine it will open nicely over the next few years

but this is going to need to develop quite a bit of depth over the course of the next few years as it’s presently borderline one-dimensional

It has a vibrant bouquet that has slightly more energy than the Huilkrans

It completed 13 months in oval oak foudres and was in concrete waiting to be bottled when I tasted it in January 2024

There is outstanding size

Discreet wood sets off similar if more floral but less citrus infused aromas

The aromatic profile is similar though with more evident floral influences

which have a firm tannin structure anyway and need some time to polymerize the tannin
