Cream Bolster - WoodgrainA background of cream silk velvet plays host to details in shades of chestnut, lending contrast and definition to our Woodgrain design. As with our Woodgrain cushions, this opulent bolster is inspired by the beautiful oak floorboards at the home of our founders, Tim and Lizzie. These boards have had their grain blasted, then filled with gold, before being stained and varnished. What could easily have been a very gauche result was in the end so

resulting in an opulent interplay of copper and golds tones

Drawing from the colours in the original woodblock print that inspired our Ukiyo-e cushion

we selected our favourites to be interpreted by our own skilled artists

with a pickled finish softened by clear oil and gold wax

The design bridges a masculine-feminine aesthetic and both colourways feel fresh for the summer months but cosy in the winter
