FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading)

FPSO is a type of floating tank system used by the offshore oil and gas industry and designed to take all of the oil or gas produced from a nearby platform(s), process it, and store it until the oil or gas can be offloaded onto waiting tankers, or sent through a pipeline.

Apexindo is set to strengthen and broaden its fleet by adding an FPSO, namely Sea Good 101 by way of acquiring it from its Parent Company, Mira International Holdings Pte. Ltd. on November 2008 subsequent to obtaining approval for the said acquisition from Minority Shareholders through the Extraordinary General Meeting.

Sea Good 101 was originally a tanker barge that in 2005 the unit was modified into a production barge by putting production facility on top of it.

This production barge commenced its project on September 2007 with  Santos (Sampang) Pty. Ltd. in Oyong field, at Madura Strait, Indonesia. The contract value is approximately USD 78 million for approximately 6 years.

Sea Good 101 has undergone survey and certification process that refers to rules and regulations that is applied by American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and obtained Full Class Certificate class code +A1, Oil Tank Barge from ABS.
